Hiii! You can call me Spooky, she/they, I am the curator for Outer Spice and your resource for most borderline useless information. I love reminding folx how valuable their individuality is - while also fostering an environment that brings us all together!
In my free time (lol) I like to lay in the sun, engage in nearly any craft, and most of all - EAT. I am always open to new connections so if you see me out and about feel free to say hi if comfortable! Thank you all so so much for making Outer Spice what it is, and I hope to continue to do justice by the Queer community within our Queen City.
Meet Benney ⭐️ In their own words, at the root of it all - they are a tattoo artist whose art is influenced by their Japanese background, childhood favorites, kawaii art, and traditional tattooing techniques.
Drawing inspiration from anime, yokai, mascots, folklore, and the strange comfort of nostalgia - tattooing for them is more than just body modification. It is mutual care, it is about people reclaiming themselves, it is about sharing stories and connection between people trying to survive a world built on isolation.
If you are looking for someone who is community focused and puts in the work to make the spaces around their work feel safe, communal, and human - you can find Benney on Instagram at @benneytattoos , at any Outer Spice tattoo event, and located right in Dayton, OH! Most of all? They want the spaces they create in to be spaces where people can exist as themselves, look out for one another, and create something that breaks ourselves free of the constructs that subjugate our autonomy.
Leo (they/them) fell in love with art and tattoos at a young age. Always covered in temporary tattoos and Sharpie ink, it comes as no surprise that their love of art led them to become a tattoo artist.
As a nonbinary lesbian, Leo understands the importance of having a safe, comfortable, and affirming space and they do everything they can to be that space for their clients. While they specialize in anime, cybersigilism, and black work, Leo loves to do it all.
